Canon PowerShot S95, a slight increase compared to S90

Canon PowerShot S95, a slight increase compared to S90

For those of you owners of the Canon S90, this time issued a successor Canon S90 to Canon PowerShot S95 which is a Digital Pro camera type of compact. Three things that differentiate it from earlier S90 series is the ability to take video with HD formats (720p) but the frame rate (fps) was lower that is only 24 fps in 720p.

Second is the size in which the S95 is smaller and lighter though arguably not so much that is (99 × 58×29 × 58×30 mm and 100 mm) while the weight S95 is 193 g and S90 is 198 g (difference 5g).

Third, the Canon S95 can capture images with a speed of 1.9 fps while the Canon S90 is only 0.9 fps.

Virtually S95 series is only a little improvement compared with S90 series but it must be remembered that the S90 also has a good compact camera.

The following specifications are:
- 10 MP
- Using a CCD sensor
- The screen size of 3 inch TFT LCD
- ISO Range: 80 -3200
- Shutter Speeed: 1 – 1 / 1600 sec
- Memory cards: SD / SDHC Memory Card, Memory Card SDXC,
MultiMediaCard, MMCplus Card and HC MMCplus Card
- Optical Zoom: 3.8 X
- Connections: 1x USB, 1x Composite video / audio output, 1x HDMI

Canon S95 Price is US $399.99 and if you question whether the need to upgrade Canon S90 to S95, unless you want to record video in HD format so could not help but if not necessary, it seems useless.
