Weight Loss - Importance of Negative Calorie Food

There are approximately 100 negative calorie foods causing weight loss, which comprises of vegetables like Asparagus, Beetroot, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Endive, Chicory, Cucumber, Carrot, Broccoli, Celery, Garlic, Garden cress, Green Beans, Gourd, Hot chilly peppers, Lettuce, Onion, Radish, Spinach, Tomato, Turnip etc. Some of the Fruits, which are negative calorie foods and has a great impact in weight loss, are Apple, Apricot, Blackberry, Blackcurrant, Blueberries, Cranberry, Grapefruit, Guava, Lime, Mango, Melon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pineapple, Plums, Raspberry, Strawberry, Watermelon, etc. Just include these negative calorie foods in your diet and happily have weight loss through eating.


Once you start with negative calorie foods, you have to very careful and keep yourself away for alcohol and smoking. You have to strictly maintain your eating and sleeping habits. Avoid over eating and try to take 2-3 meals per day. After taking your last meal, never go to bed immediately, instead wait for at least 30-40 minutes. This allows your body to digest food in proper manner and reduces the chances of fat accumulation in any part of your body.

Another point to be remembered is that the diet plan should be according to your lifestyle and from the foods that you eat. This is because, if you are not used to certain foods, you may not like their taste and hence avoid eating them. It is also impossible to avoid your favorite foods for a long time. So a diet plan, which gives you recipe to prepare the same tasty food in a different way with less calories is more acceptable, than one which devoid you of your favorite food completely.

The weight-losing program should be such that you lose your weight slowly and steadily, as rapid reduction in weight puts lot of stress on the body and proves harmful instead of generating good results. The recommended rate for losing weight is 1/2 to 2 pounds of weight per week depending upon your weight at the start of the program. Also remember that initially you tend to lose weight much faster and it slows down gradually after few months. The maximum weight loss can be expected in the first month. Based on these theories; you can always question your potential program adviser and expert regarding the safety and, efficiency of the weight loss program.

Another false myth regarding weight loss program is the tendency to skip meals completely in an attempt to reduce the calories. But this is counterproductive, as, if you skip meals; you are depriving your body of essential nutrients necessary for its proper functioning. This will cause your body to go into deprivation mode, and instead of burning adequate calories; it will try to store the calories for future use. These were just few tips for loosing weight in a healthy way and looking great.
