Motorola CHARM coming to T-Mobile this summer
Motorola officially unveiled their latest Android 2.1-powered smartphone today, the CHARM, to be available exclusively from T-Mobile. The CHARM features MOTOBLUR enhancements, a compact squarish design, full QWERTY keyboard, and a touch-screen display. Yet perhaps the most interesting feature on the CHARM is the “BACKTRACK” navigation pad located on the back of the smartphone directly behind the home screen. It’s similar to a laptop touch-panel yet allows users an unobstructed view of the web, text messages, email, and news feeds.
CHARM is also the first device in the U.S. to feature an enhanced version of MOTOBLUR built on the Android 2.1 platform. MOTOBLUR syncs contacts, posts, messages, photos, etc from a variety of sources (such as social networking websites, and email accounts) and presents them in an easy-to-use user interface consisting of up to seven home screen panels and a variety of widgets.
