Toyota has introduced a new small car-Toyota Etios in Delhi Auto Expo 2010.By introducing Etios Toyota is aiming the middle class customers in the country. It is sure that Etios is a strong competition to all middle class cars in the country. The main rivals for Toyota Etios in Indian market will be Fiat Punto, Maruti Swift, and the other newly coming cars like Chevy Beat and Ford Figo.
There are two variants in Toyota Etios, Etios Sedan and Etios hatch back.The expected price for Etios sedan in Indian market will be 6.75-8.5 lakhs and for hatch back it will be around 5- 7.5 lakhs.
Toyota Etios is expected to come in India with 1.2 Li petrol engine ( Etios hatchback) and 1.5 Li petrol engine ( Etios sedan). the transmission will be 5 speed manual transmission for both sedan and hatchback. The maximum power and and torque of the engine are not announced yet.
